San Pedro, Calif. — Robert Cappy, 64, of San Pedro, Calif., and formerly of Peabody, died suddenly at the Torrance Medical Center in Torrance, Calif., on Sunday, December 30, 2012.
Born in Winthrop, he was the son of the late Robert (Guido) and late Josephine Cappy. He was raised in East Boston and moved to Peabody, where he graduated from high school in 1966. After graduation, Robert went into the Navy where he served in submarines for four years. He then moved to California in 1970.
Robert started his career as an importer exporter in the film industry and recently spent the past several years working at Ace Roofing in California. He was an avid sports fan often cheering on the Patriots, Bruins, Celtics and Red Sox.
He is survived by his three sons, Joshua Cappy of Bonney Lake, Wash., Matthew and Aaron Cappy of San Pedro, Calif.; his beloved daughter, Danielle Cappy of Fullerton, Calif.; his sister, Janice Marcinkowski of Peabody; his nephew, Joseph Marcinkowski and his wife, Dawn of Peabody; niece, Gina (Marcinkowski) Murphy and her husband, Michael of Dedham, Dino and Angelina Boskovich of San Pedro, Calif., and several great-nieces and -nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: A service will be held on Saturday January 12, from 10-11 a.m. at McNerney's Mortuary Center, 570 W. 5th Street, San Pedro, Calif. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
