Middleton — Eleanor (Swiniarski) LeBlanc, 79, beloved wife of the late Omer LeBlanc, died peacefully in her sleep at the Twin Oaks Nursing Home in Danvers on Sunday, January 6, 2013.
Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mildred (Morse) Swiniarski. She grew up and attended schools in Lynn, and graduated from St. Mary’s High School. She lived in Middleton for 48 years.
Besides nurturing her family, Mrs. LeBlanc worked much of her life. She was a Secretary in Boston in her younger years, then was a Bus Driver with Travel Time of Peabody for almost 15 years. She was an Administrative Clerk with Hogan Regional in Hathorne for 10 years before retiring.
Eleanor had many artistic talents and also developed her entrepreneurial side. She enjoyed making silk flower arrangements and ran her business "Flowers by Ellie” in Middleton. She enjoyed watercolor painting, Japanese Bunka, and played piano, organ, and accordion. She also enjoyed cooking and baking, and would often share with others who either couldn’t bake or simply to express her generosity. She also was a Foster Parent for many years for newborn infants before they would have their adopted homes.
She is survived by two sons Robert & his wife Haale LeBlanc of Middleton and Timothy LeBlanc & his partner Nancy Greenberg of Newton; two daughters, Diane York of Peabody and Christine & her husband Lorin Earle of Derry, NH; five grandchildren, Douglas York, Jr. and Christen Cone both of Peabody, Michelle LeBlanc and Corey Earle both of Derry, NH, and Leann LeBlanc of Middleton; two great-grandchildren, Douglas York III of Salem and Gabriel Trybend of Derry, NH, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son Roy LeBlanc.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, for a visitation on Thursday, January 10, 2013, from 11:30 AM – 1 PM, with a Funeral Service at 1 PM in the funeral home.
