Victor, Idaho — Earle G. Giles, Jr., age 70, of Victor, Idaho, and former resident of Beverly, passed away on January 8, 2013, at his home in Victor, Idaho, surrounded by his family.
Earle was born in Salem, to Earle G. Giles Sr. and Geraldine (Underhill) Giles. Earle spent most of his life as a resident of Beverly. He was a respected firefighter in Beverly from 1967 until his retirement in 1995. He was a member of the IAFF Local 1669. Earle moved with his wife, Carol to Victor, Idaho in 1995, and became involved with the Teton County Fire District and offered a wealth of knowledge he brought with him from his 28 year career as a firefighter. Earle is an active retired member of the IAFF Local 4667. Earle’s life revolved around fire fighting. He thought nothing of risks he took on a daily basis. He just wanted to be there to help no matter what the situation.
Earle was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, father-in-law, grandfather and friend. Earle is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carol (Trenoweth) Giles of Victor; his sons, Earle G. Giles III (June) of Victor and Christopher W. Giles of Groveland; and daughter, Carrie M. (Tracy) Phillips of Idaho Falls, Idaho; granddaughter, Amanda J. Giles of San Francisco; sister, Meredith I. Rand (Norman) of Topsfield; brother, Gerald Giles of Massachusetts; as well as, nephew, nieces and brothers and sister in laws.
ARRANGEMENTS: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at 3 p.m., at the Valley Mortuary in Driggs, Idaho. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.valleymortuarydriggs.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Society.
