David Birdsall, 58


Topsfield — David Birdsall, 58, of Topsfield, proprietor of Silver Oak Equestrian Center in Hampton Falls, NH, died suddenly Thursday, January 17, 2013 at his Silver Oak property. He had been ill with a bronchial infection.

He was born in Englewood, NJ, June 26, 1954 a son of Richard and Evelyn (Bilek) Birdsall of Palm Coast, Fla.

Mr. Birdsall worked for Fidelity Investments for 33 years and was a senior executive with the company when he retired last year to spend more time with his family and to enjoy his favorite activity, working on his horse farm.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Karen (Sperandio) Birdsall of Topsfield, two children, Nicholas Birdsall of North Hollywood, CA, Victoria Birdsall of Topsfield, his brother, Peter Birdsall and his wife Andrea of Ridgefield Park, NJ, two sisters, Jane Murphy and her husband Paul of Oxford, Penn., Ellen Freedly of Jacksonville, Fla., nieces, nephews as well as by his beloved Great Dane, Libby.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours will be from 5-8 P.M. Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, NH. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Services will be private. After cremation interment will be on his Silver Oak property.
