Gloria Louise (Allen) Cole, 85


DANVERS — Mrs. Gloria Louise (Allen) Cole, 85, of Danvers, beloved wife of Aubrey Burton Cole, died Friday afternoon, February 1st, 2013, at the Peabody Glen Nursing Home in Peabody, surrounded by her family.

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Reba (Cloutman) Allen. She was raised and educated in Lynn.

Gloria began her professional career with the Pilsbury House in Danvers as a caregiver. She matriculated to G.T.E. Sylvania, having been employed in the Cafeteria for many years, until the time of her retirement.

Gloria enjoyed bingo, and Dancing at the Danvers Senior Center. She relished vacationing with her family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and great grandmother who will be deeply missed.

In addition to her loving husband of 66 years, Gloria is survived by her daughters, Charlene DeStasio and her husband Joe of Peabody and Sharon Copello and her husband William of Danvers, her sons, Allen Cole and his wife Victoria of Danvers and Randy Cole and his wife Lisa of Danvers, her eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law, Ruth Allen of Westford. She was also the sister of the late Chester Allen, Dorothy Matthews and Virginia Borden.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St. (Rte. 62), Danvers, Tuesday at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends invited. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Visiting hours Monday from 4 to 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Gloria’s memory to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Association, 60 Walnut St, Wellesley, MA 02481.
