Cynthia D. Main, 45

Beverly — Ms. Cynthia Dawn Main 45, died at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, MA, surrounded by her family, after a two-month battle with Burkitt’s Lymphoma.

Born and raised in the city of Beverly to James Main and Elaine Vitale Main. Cindy attended the Beverly School for the Deaf in her Preschool year and later attended the Beverly Public Schools. Cindy went on to receive her Associate’s Degree in Floral Culture from Essex Agricultural and Technical School, of Hathorne.

Upon graduation, Cindy worked at several Flower Shops for many years as a Floral Designer. She then continued to work at several local establishments in clerical positions including Johnny Appleseed’s of Beverly.

Cindy enjoyed many hobbies including crafts, scrapbooking, knitting, reading, and traveling and keeping many journals about each adventure. In her high school years, Cindy received the Girl Scouts of America’s Gold Award (equivalent to the Boy Scout Eagle Award) which resulted in a trip with her troop to England.

Cindy enjoyed the company of people of all ages. She spent time with her godson Jacob, whom she adored, throughout his young life. She had a natural love of animals and loved being outside taking walks, swimming as a child, singing in the church choir and discovering the world around her. She leaves behind wonderful memories with her family and friends.

She is survived by her father James Main and companion Linda Peters of Beverly, sister Heidi Foley and her husband Scott of Bradford and their children, Jacob James Foley (her godson), Emma Elaine Foley and Kristen Jennifer Foley, aunts and uncles, Marianne (Vitale) Beckvold and husband John of Beverly, William Vitale and wife Linda of Gloucester, Dorothy (Barrowclough) Zwicker and husband Paul of Danvers, Arthur Barrowclough and wife Edna of Danvers, John Daniels of Danvers, her extended family, Christopher Peters and wife Christina of Nashua, N.H., Dana Peters and girlfriend Darian Corley of Los Angeles, CA. and Jason Peters of Beverly. She also leaves countless cousins, friends and co workers. She was preceded in death by her mother Elaine Vitale Main, aunt Margaret Hope Daniels, uncle Donald Barrowclough and cousins, Jennifer Vitale and Julie Gagnon Zwicker.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral service will be held in the Campbell – Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly location), Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial in North Beverly Cemetery.
