Philip V. Tatten, 81


Cambridge — Mr. Philip V. Tatten, 81, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at the Chelsea Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born and raised in Boston, he was the son of the late Richard and Margaret (Hughes) Tatten. He earned both his Bachelor of Arts and Master’s Degree from Boston University. An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Army.

Mr. Tatten was employed as a school teacher, having worked in the Newburyport, Swampscott and Marblehead school systems until the time of his retirement.

He is survived by his brother, Gerald R. Tatten of Beverly.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret’s Church, 672 Hale St., Beverly Farms, Wednesday, February 6, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
