Somerset, Mass. — June L. (Cobb) Wilkinson, 92, of Somerset passed away on Monday, January 28, 2013, at Saint Anne’s Hospital in Fall River. She was the wife of the late Sumner Wilkinson. June was born in Salem, the daughter of the late Willis L. and Grace (Manning) Cobb.
She devoted her life to raising her family. June cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. Mrs. Wilkinson was very active at the Church of Our Saviour in Somerset. She participated in the choir, Women’s Guild and the Couples Club. June was also the past president of the Somerset Women’s Club PM Division and a member of the Rainbow Girls. Mrs. Wilkinson volunteered at Charlton Memorial Hospital and enjoyed reading and knitting.
Survivors are two daughters, Joanne Johnson and her husband Ralph Major of Denver, N.C., Barbara Kutz, Donald, Steven, John, Kristen, David and Ashley; four great-grandchildren, Robert, Morgan, J.P., and Madelyn; a brother Harry Cobb of Florida and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late, Donald Wilkinson; sister of the late Madeline Powers and Robert Cobb.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass with Requiem Eucharist will be held on Friday, February 8, 2013, at 1:30 p.m. in the Church of Our Saviour, 2112 County Street, Somerset, followed by burial in Gibbs Cemetery in Somerset.
