Everett R. Robinson, 85


Peabody — Mr. Everett R. Robinson, 85 years, of Peabody, died Sunday, February 10, 2013, in the Edith Nourse Rogers Veterans Hospital in Bedford, after a long illness. He is the husband of Mrs. Eleanor (O’Keefe) Robinson. He was born in Lynn, the son of the late Everett and Etta Robinson. He was raised in Lynn and lived in Peabody for over 50 years.

Mr. Robinson was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and served in the U.S. Army. He had a lifelong interest in cars especially Studebakers. He loved to talk to his friends at Peterson Automotive, on Route 1 in Peabody. Mr. Robinson loved animals and fed many strays. He loved his own cats, Snoopy, Velvet and Fluffy.

He was an inspector for the Registry of Motor Vehicles for 25 years, prior to that he worked at the General Electric Company and as a welder.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children, Gail Griffin and her husband, John of Peabody, Susan Clark and her husband, Stephen of Melrose and Helen Robinson of Peabody; four grandchildren, Alycia Griffin, Ryan Griffin, Courtney Clark and Andrew Clark; brother-in-law, Attorney John O’Keefe and his wife, Mary and a sister-in-law, Eileen Robinson. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. He is the brother of the late Chester and Ernie Robinson, Mary Rowe and her husband, Don and the late brother-in-law of James and Patricia O’Keefe.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral will be held Saturday, February 16, at 12 p.m. in the Solimine, Landergan and Richardson Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Rte 129), Lynn. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
