Marblehead, MA — Attorney Arnold Y. Tarlow, age 79, died on Monday after a lengthy illness in the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Born in Salem, the son of the late Barnett and Victoria Tarlow, he graduated from Salem High School, Northeastern University and Boston University School of Law. He practiced law in Essex County for over 50 years. He had been a resident in Marblehead for over 40 years, and formerly resided in Beverly. He was a former member of Temple Emanu-el in Marblehead.
He was the beloved husband of Judy Tarlow. He was the devoted father of Daniel and his wife, Dana Tarlow, of Salem, N.H., and Victoria Tarlow, of Boston. He was the loving brother of Edward Tarlow, of Concord, and Nancy Tarlow, of New Jersey; and the cherished grandfather of Drake Tarlow.
ARRANGEMENTS: Services will be held at the Stanetsky-Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin St., Salem-Swampscott line, on Thursday, April 18 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the Waterside Cemetery, West Shore Dr., Marblehead. A Memorial Observance will be held at his late residence following the interment until 8 p.m., Friday 2 p.m., until sundown and Saturday evening 7-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be donated to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA, 01701.
