SALEM — Mr. Michael Angelo Arroyo, 51, of Salem, died Monday morning, April 15, 2013, following a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Beverly, he was the son of Priscilla May (Ambrose) (Arroyo) Belanger of Beverly and the late Angelo Arroyo. He was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Salem High School.
Mr. Arroyo had been employed as a machinist for many years.
A life-long resident of the City of Salem, Michael was an avid Boston sports fan. He was a talented bowler and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Michael is survived by his mother, Priscilla May (Ambrose) (Arroyo) Belanger and his step-father, Richard Belanger of Beverly; his brother, Rick Joseph Arroyo of Beverly; his niece, Monique "Nikki" Ventullo of Salem; his nephew, Daniel Ross of Beverly; his aunts and uncles, Lucy Ouellette of Florida, Barbara Allen of Beverly, Hattie Sholds of Beverly, Eleanor Grimes of Beverly, Charles Ambrose and his wife, Joan, of Peabody, and Gordon Ambrose of Beverly; and many grandnieces and grandnephews. He was the grandson of the late Charles and Florence Ambrose and nephew of the late Shirley Crean, Betty Conlin, Charles Allen, Norman Ouellette, Francis Belanger and Timothy Ambrose.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service which will be held in Greenlawn Cemetery, Orne Street, Salem, graveside, Monday, April 22, at 11 a.m. Please gather at the main gate of the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. Assisting the family with the arrangements is The O'Donnell Funeral Home, 46 Washington Square (at Salem Common), Salem.
