Norma M. (Chute) Smith, 76


Beverly, MA — Norma M. (Chute) Smith, 76, wife of the late William Smith, formerly of Beverly, died Wednesday, April 18, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. Norma was born in Skewhegan, Maine, daughter of the late Lawrence and Leta (Moore) Chute.

She loved dancing, knitting, and of course, her family. Norma was loved for her great sense of humor and her great smile.

Norma is survived by her four sons, Joseph Chute and his wife, Dana of North Carolina, Richard Gauthier and his wife, Deborah of Rowley, Edward Gauthier and his wife, Catherine of Georgetown, and Randolph Gauthier of Hyannis; two daughters, Windy Smith of New York and Jennifer Smith of Bellingham; her sister, Elizabeth Chute; and five grandchildren, Diane, Steven, Richard, Jonathan and Ashley; and two great-grandchildren, Faith and Saryah.

ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral Services will be held at the Campbell – Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly location), Monday at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
