Helen M. Kaczenas


Lynn — Helen M. Kaczenas, age 92, of Lynn, died Wednesday at her home, surrounded by her family, after a brief illness. Born in Hyde Park, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Domicella (Kneesh) Kaczenas. She was raised in Hyde Park and had lived in Lynn since 1947.

Helen worked as a payroll accountant for Filene's Department Store in Boston until her retirement in 1987. She was a longtime daily communicant and volunteer at Sacred Heart Church in Lynn. She enjoyed reading, music and dancing and loved to travel. Everything in her life centered around her faith, her family and her friends. She was a loving sister and aunt and her family remembers her as the constant in the life of her family.

She is survived by her sister, Agnes A. Hart of Peabody, 26 nieces and nephews; 23 great-nieces and nephews, and 13 great-great-nieces and nephews; as well as numerous friends.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her visitation will be held on Friday from 8:30-10:30 a.m. in the Solimine, Landergan and Richardson Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Rte. 129), Lynn, followed by a funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Lynn, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
