Wenham — Charles S. Schack, 76, beloved husband of Antonette (Monka) Schack, died unexpectedly on August 16, 2013, on a safari in Namibia, Africa.
Born in Pontiac, Mich., he was the son of the late Seymour and Marion Schack. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Michigan Technological University, and continued his education earning a master’s of business administration from Boston College.
Mr. Schack had been employed for over 30 years as an engineer in metallurgy at the General Electric Co. in Lynn, until the time of his retirement in 1999. He continued his career as a consultant in metallurgy and forgings, until the time of his death.
A longtime resident of the Town of Wenham, he had a passion for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, throughout many different countries. He also enjoyed traveling around the world with his wife, Antonette.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Charles A. Schack and Eric Schack; a step-daughter, Dominique Beckman; two sisters, Nancy Martin and Lenora Lighthall; a brother, Alfred Schack; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held at the Campbell–Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, North Beverly, on Saturday, September 21, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
