Winter Haven, FL — Frank Anthony Mistretta, 71, of Winter Haven, passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2013, in his home, surrounded by his family, after a battle with cancer. Frank, a native of Peabody, Mass., was born on February 6, 1942, to Anthony and Annette Burke Mistretta.
Twenty years ago, he moved to Florida from Peabody when he retired as the owner of New England Dormer. Frank co-managed EZ Roofing Systems in Winter Haven with his son, Bob. Frank was a strong family man, and loved spending time with his family. He was also an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.
Frank is predeceased by his son, Nicky Mistretta. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Bunnie, of Winter Haven; three sons, Bob Mistretta and his wife, Erin, of Winter Haven, Kenneth Secorsky and his wife, Barbara, of Hastings, Fla., and Michael Secorsky of Sterling, Va.; two daughters, Deborah Canejo of Haverhill, Mass., and Linda Richards and her husband, Mark, of Raymond, N.H.; his sister, Althea Mistretta Lani and her husband, Gerry, of Ely, Nev.; and a brother, Ted Mistretta of Medford, Mass. Frank also leaves behind 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: His visitation will be held on Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Winter Haven.
