Salem — Mr. Denci Gonzalez, 82, of Salem, beloved husband of Lila Gonzalez, died unexpectedly, October 8, 2013, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Born in the Dominican Republic he was the son of the late Benito and Valentina (Soto) Gonzalez. He was raised and educated in the Dominican Republic and immigrated to the United States in 1970.
Mr. Gonzalez had been employed as a Master Carpenter for many years. More recently he had been employed in the Leather and Screen Print Industry. A talented craftsman, Denci was known for his fine carpentry skills and his ability to construct hand crafted guitars.
He was a longtime resident of the City of Salem and a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Salem and was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed.
In addition to his loving wife, Denci is survived by his family, Yoni Gonzalez, Gus Gonzalez, Alberto Gonzalez, Eduar Gonzalez, Patricia Gonzalez, Yuderca Gonzalez, Maria Gonzalez, Jose Gonzalez, Juan Gonzalez and many grandchildren and dear relatives and friends.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral Mass which will be held in the Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd., Salem, Saturday at 9 A.M.
