ESSEX JUNCTION, VT — Lorraine Helen (Deschene) Jensen, 88, of Vermont, and formerly of Salem, Mass., passed away at the Green Mountain Nursing Home on August 22, 2013. She was the former wife of Lyle Jensen Sr.
Lorraine was born in Salem, Mass., on July 3, 1925, to the late Ohmer and Helen (Burnhart) Deschene.
During her years of working, she had worked at New England Alive in ipswich, Bailey Corporation in Seabrook, N.H., and Sylvania in Ipswich.
Lorraine loved animals, especially her cat, Samantha. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing bingo, knitting, and collecting dolls. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her son Charles “Chuck” Jensen, with whom she had lived with in Essex Junction; three grandchildren, Heather Monti of Georgetown, Jennifer Fox of Rowley and Michael Jensen of Ipswich; four great-grandchildren, Dylan Monti, Myriah Monti, Savannah Monti, and Livia Harrington-Fox. She was predeceased by her son, Lyle C. Jensen Jr.
ARRANGEMENTS: Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 19, at 11 a.m., in the New Highland Cemetery, Ipswich. Family and friends are invited.
