Marblehead, MA — Jacqueline Harris Stolte, 45, died on Friday October 11, at The Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, Mass. She had bravely battled metastatic melanoma for the past two years.
Jackie was known for her incredible love of life and passion for all outdoor athletic endeavors, challenging herself with marathons, triathlons, and sailboat racing. She had acquired many fascinating friends from around the world from having traveled, studied and lived in Lyon, France, Sienna, Italy, Oxford, England, Nantucket, New York City, San Francisco, and most recently, Marblehead.
Her professional work as a strategist had groundbreaking influence on online marketing and social media practices worldwide. She also touched many through her work as a public relations specialist at The White House, and as a producer on The Charlie Rose Show. Her spirit was always giving — to her friends, family and community — and in that vein, she founded an event in New York City to commemorate 9/11 — "Yoga for Peace” — now practiced worldwide.
The daughter of Jacqueline H. Edwards, of Nantucket, and the late Roger Stolte, Jackie is survived by her partner, Cutter Herlihy of Marblehead; her siblings, Roger and wife, Patti Stolte, Olivia S. McLean, and Lars Stolte, all of Nantucket, and Candy Edwards and husband, Tim Roach of Rock Hall, Md.; nephews, Nathan and Conner McLean of Nantucket, and Brynne Edwards-Roach of Rock Hall; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins across the country and around the world.
Jackie lived her life to fullest up to the very end, and she will dance on in our hearts forever.
ARRANGEMENTS: Services will be held in Marblehead, on Friday, October 18, at Old North Church, at 11 a.m., with a reception following at Boston Yacht Club in Marblehead.
