Daniel H. Bissel, 47


BEVERLY — Daniel H. Bissel, 47, beloved husband of Gail (Russo) Bissel, with whom he shared 24 years of marriage, passed away Wednesday, October 16, at Massachusetts General Hospital surrounded by his family. Born in Beverly, he was the son of the late Eugene and Alyce (Dibble) Bissel.

Daniel grew up in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School. For many years, he owned and operated DABCO Construction Company.

A loving and devoted family man, Daniel will be remembered as a genuinely selfless individual who believed in putting others before himself, and lived his life in pursuit of that belief. His friends and loved ones came to expect Daniel to be the first one to show up in any time of need, fully devoting himself to the situation at hand. His children could not have had a better model of love and compassion for others.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his four children, Daniel Jr., Mason, Madison and Jack Bissel, all of Beverly; seven siblings, Kathy McCay, Michael Bissel, Joanne Rogers, Steve Bissel, P.J. Bissel, Timothy Bissel and Robin Kelley; along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.

ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held at the Campbell-Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, North Beverly on Sunday at 4 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 12 Noon to 4 P.M.
