Georgetown — Of Georgetown, formerly of Saugus, March 5, 2014. Beloved husband of Linda Lewis-Rich. Son of Francis P. Rich of Saugus and the late Catherine L. "Kay" (Lochiatto). Brother of Francis P. Rich Jr. and his wife, June, of Alton, NH, Bryan T. Rich and his wife, Judy, of Sunny Isles Beach, FL and Catherine Rich-Duval and her husband, John, of Beverly. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Peabody, MA — Joseph Warren Roby, age 85, loving husband for 55 years of Joan (Kupreance) Roby, of Peabody, died on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, in the Hunt Nursing Home, Danvers.
Danvers — Mary (Comenos) Gouzoules, age 99, of Danvers, formerly of Peabody, died Tuesday in the Kaplan Family Hospice House after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Christopher Gouzoules. She was born in Lynn to John and Kalliope (Lymberogianes) Comenos. She and her six siblings were raised by Helen Comenos, who married her father after her mother’s death to care for them. She was raised in Lynn and lived in Peabody for many years.
Peabody, MA — Severino A. “Toñito” Vargas Sr., 83, of Peabody, passed away Tuesday evening at the NSMC-Salem Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Altagracia) Vargas.
BEVERLY — Benjamin Allen Roberts, 93, beloved husband of Mildred “Millie” (Drinan) Roberts, passed away Tuesday, March 4, at Beverly Hospital. Born in Beverly, he was the son of the late Edward C. and Maude (Allen) Roberts.
Salem — Brian K. Barbrick, 37, of Salem, died unexpectedly, Friday, February 28, 2014, at the NSMC/Salem Hospital. Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Catherine A. Barbrick.
Portland, ME — David Michael Hayford, formerly of Danvers, MA, 60, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at Maine Medical Center with his family/friends by his side, as a result of complications from a recent surgery and a long courageous battle with cancer.
Salem — Ellen F. (Riley) Harvey, 79, of Salem, died peacefully at home, Tuesday, March 4, 2014, following a long illness. She was the loving wife of Richard M. Harvey with whom she had shared 52 years of marriage.

If someone asks, “How are you?” Just say “Terrible Thanks”... “Terrible Good, that is!” His many achievements include a career as an architect with Shepley Bullfinch; many years as proprietor of The Pipe Dream; the honor to be selected a Marblehead Couple of the Year with his wife, June; the fun of arriving on the lobster boat at State Street Landing as Marblehead's Santa; and, most importantly, the ability to be a friend to anyone in town.

Danvers — Mrs. Marjorie R. Sidmore, 90, of Danvers, beloved wife of the late Robert Bradley Sidmore, died Monday, March 3, 2014, at the Peabody Glen Nursing Home in Peabody.
Marblehead — Paul A. deNapoli, 89, of Marblehead, MA, passed peacefully from Alzheimer’s with his children by his side on February 15, 2014. Born in Newton, MA, he was the beloved husband of the late Phyllis C. deNapoli and the late Katherine V. deNapoli. Paul leaves behind his son, Paul (Frederick) deNapoli; his daughter, Dyan deNapoli; his sister, Ann Regan; his companion, Ann Hawthorn-Bouras; and dozens of nieces and nephews.

Gloucester — Alice V. (Lightbody) Corrao, 83, died peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Sunday March 2, 2014. She was the devoted wife of the late Anthony “Tony” Corrao Sr.
Lynn — Donald J. Darisse, 51, of Lynn, died on Monday, March 3, 2014, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by his loving family. Donald was born in Salem on August 3, 1962, and was the son of Yvon J. Darisse and Joan E. (Taylor) Darisse of Beverly. He was educated in Salem, and a graduate of Salem High School, Class of 1980. Donald worked as a plumber and was associated with several companies on the North Shore.
St. Petersburg, FL — Dorothy entered into heaven on February 28, 2014. She was preceded in death by daughter Ella Hardison. She is survived by daughters, Joanne Sharples (Craig), Barbara Hudson (David), and Patty Kwapien (Rick); son, James Casey (Sherald); grandchildren, Pam Zager, Meghan Watson, Holly Sharples, James, Kelly and Emily Gurganus; Lindsey and Rebecca Anderson, and James and Danny Casey; and several great-grandchildren; grandfurries; and nieces and nephews.

Danvers, formerly of Saugus — Mrs. Florence Eve (Gileau) Cooper, 99, of Danvers, formerly of Saugus, beloved wife of Wilfred Cooper, died on March 3, at Emeritus at Cherry Hill, Danvers.
Beverly — George A. Marquis, 87, of Beverly, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday morning, March 3, surrounded by his family. Born in Taunton, Mass., George was the son of the late Antonio and Caroline Andrade Marquês (Marquis). He grew up in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1944. George was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy as an aircraft mechanic in the Philippines from 1944-1945. He was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1947. After the war, George worked alongside his father as a home builder. Together, the two designed and built numerous homes throughout the city of Peabody. The name Santa Ovaia Circle, a cul-de-sac of homes George and his father built near Wilson Square, was chosen in honor of his father's boyhood village, Santa Ovaia, in Coimbra, Portugal. Throughout his life, he was particularly interested in architecture and history.
Ipswich — Hazel Treloar-Bray Johnson, 90, wife of the late Albert F. Johnson, died early Monday morning, March 3, 2014, in the Hathorne Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Danvers. Born in Redruth, Cornwall, England, on May 30, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Reginald Vincent and Elizabeth Ann (Bryant) Treloar.
Swampscott — Mr. James K. Muldoon, 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 2, 2014, after a long illness, with family members by his side. He was the loving husband of Nancy (Desrocher) Muldoon.
Gloucester — Mary (Bailey) Feener, 79, of 10 Dale Avenue, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 3, 2014.
Wenham — Norman Ralph Durkee, 91, died on Friday morning, February 28, at Wentworth Douglas Hospital in Dover, N.H. He was the son of Nancy and Ralph Durkee. He was born and raised in Danvers, Mass., and until recently, was proud to call Wenham his hometown. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 ½ years, Laura Durkee, and his four children, Steve Durkee and his wife, Carol, of Jacksonville, Fla., Karen Clarke and her husband, Mike, of Durham, N.H., Nancy Needham and her fiancé, Frank Sholds of Manchester, Mass., and Jeffrey Durkee and his wife, Jamie, of Marietta, Ga., nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a very dear family friend of 39 years, Peg Leblanc of Salem, Mass. Mr. Durkee graduated from Danvers High School, and served proudly in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was fondly known as “The Voice of the Radio,” managing the Salem-based radio station, WESX, for 40 years. He even “lived” at the station for four days during the "Great Blizzard of '78,” so the public would continually be informed of snow happenings. He enjoyed sports, especially football, loved to dance with Laura when they were members of the Hamilton-Wenham Couples Club, liked musical productions, and was very civic minded. He was a Little League coach, served four terms in office as a Wenham Selectman, was a 32 degree Mason, Master of Danvers Mosaic Lodge, and a member of the Aleppo Shrine. He was also president of the Beverly Lions Club, president of the Beverly Chamber of Commerce, and treasurer of the Council on Aging. After his retirement in 1987, he enjoyed cruising with his family, became a wonderful cook, and took great pride nurturing his pristine lawn and fruit trees.
Rockland, Maine — Ronald T. "Hutch" Hutchins, 43, died at his home, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, January 25, 2014, after a long illness.
