Salisbury, MA — Mr. William A Morin III, 71, died on Thursday, February 20, 2014. He was the husband of Charlene (Cain) Morin.
Born in Beverly, Bill grew up in Danvers, Mass. He was the son of Catherine “Joan” (Lynch) Morin and the Late William A Morin Jr.
Bill owned and operated gas service stations. Beginning in 1967, when at the age of 25, he bought and operated his first gas station in Peabody. Most recently, before his retirement in 1999, he was the owner of the Citgo Station on the corner of Merrimac and Kent Street in Newburyport. Bill was known for his outgoing larger-than-life personality. He was kind and compassionate, always willing to lend a helping hand.
After his retirement in 1999, Bill spent time with his many family and friends. He was so proud of his affiliation and membership with the North End Boat Club of Newburyport. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He leaves his children, Marianne Morin of Hampton, N.H., Jeannine Morin of Albuquerque, N.M., and William A Morin IV of Hampton. He was the grandfather of Alan Brown of Hampton. He is also survived by his brothers, David Morin of Limerick, Maine, and Glen Morin of South Berwick, Maine.
ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours at Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home, 35 Green Street, Newburyport, will be held on Tuesday, February 25, from 3 to 6 p.m., immediately followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. Burial will be private.
