Beverly — James L. Brown, 76, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at his home.
Born in Philipsburg, PA, he was the son of the late George and Rachel (Mayhew) Brown.
An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the Vietnam Era as a member of the United States Navy.
Mr. Brown had been employed for many years as a manager for Lawrence Plate Glass in Lawrence.
A longtime resident of Beverly, he enjoyed watching the Patriots, loved the lottery, enjoyed reunion trips to PA, vacations at Virginia Beach and Florida, and keeping up to date on his grandchildren's activities. He loved spending time with family, especially with grandchildren, Abbey and Alex. He will be missed by his dear friends, especially his neighbor, Sandy Jacobs and friend, Dave Cassola and will be missed by all who knew him but forever in our hearts.
James is survived by his daughter, Pamela Keiver and her husband, Peter, of North Andover; two grandchildren, Abigail Joy and Alexander Keiver; a son, Andrew Brown of Saugus; his former spouses, Deborah DiVito and Joyce Brown; his siblings, Nancy Drukenbrod and her husband, Carl, of Lancaster, PA, Sharon Moore and her husband, Charles, of Falls Creek, PA, Eleanor Petulla and her husband, Tony, of Osceola Mills, PA and Donald Brown of Philipsburg, PA; a sister-in-law, Dot Brown of Philipsburg, PA; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late George Brown, Ruth Smeal and her husband, Ray, and Doris Townsend and her husband, Ike.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held at the Campbell – Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., North Beverly, Sunday, March 2, 2014, at 4 p.m. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
