Gloucester — Mary (Bailey) Feener, 79, of 10 Dale Avenue, died unexpectedly on Monday, March 3, 2014.
Born in Dallas, Texas, on July 13, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Eugene H. and Lula Mae (Landis) Bailey. She was a longtime resident of Gloucester.
Mary was employed at the former Seafood Kitchens, and later as a clerk at Store 24 on Washington Street for many years.
She was a voracious reader and great sports fan. She loved to watch the Boston Red Sox and the Atlanta Braves.
Mary is survived by her children, Steve and wife, Paula Feener, Bill Feener, Paul and wife, Vicki Feener, and Elizabeth Tracy and her companion, Lawrence Rizzotti; 10 grandchildren, Bryan Feener, Sean Feener, Erin Jackson, Amber Feener, James Garrett, David Feener, Nicole Gueth, Brittany Jordan, Kevin Alex, and Chet Alex; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marie Tennison MacDonald and her husband, Bill MacDonald, Fay Carter, and Jeannie Grinnell and her companion, Kenneth Borque; her brother, George Bailey; a sister-in-law, Myra Bailey; and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son, Michael L. Feener; and her brother, David Bailey.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held on Saturday morning, in the Pike-Grondin Funeral Home, 61 Middle Street, Gloucester, at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held on Friday evening, from 4 to 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
