Lynn — Donald J. Darisse, 51, of Lynn, died on Monday, March 3, 2014, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, surrounded by his loving family. Donald was born in Salem on August 3, 1962, and was the son of Yvon J. Darisse and Joan E. (Taylor) Darisse of Beverly. He was educated in Salem, and a graduate of Salem High School, Class of 1980. Donald worked as a plumber and was associated with several companies on the North Shore.
Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army, with tours of duty in Germany and Honduras. He liked fishing. He was an independent spirit and a loyal and helpful friend.
In addition to his parents, Donald is survived by a son, Daniel J. Mills of Saugus; one sister, Linda A. Gagnon and her husband, Mark, of Peabody; one brother, Norman J. Darisse and his wife, Cheryl, of Salem; six nieces and nephews; and six grand-nieces and grand-nephews; aunts and uncles; and many cousins here and in Canada. He was predeceased by a son, Andrew J. Mills.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, 111 New Balch St., Beverly, on Friday, March 7, 2014, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell-Lee Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, North Beverly, will be on Thursday, from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be private.
