William E. Weaver Sr., 72, husband of the late Gilda (Cappeleri), passed away at home on Sunday, February 19. Born in Beverly, he was son of the late William and Greta (Olsen) Weaver.
Bill grew up in Danvers and was a graduate of Holten High School, Class of 1958. Following high school, Bill served in the United States Army. For many years he was employed at Ceramic-to-Metal Seals, INC., in Melrose until his retirement. Prior to working there, he was employed at Omniwave in Gloucester. Bill enjoyed boating, fishing and gardening. He was known for growing some of the best tomatoes around. He was also a handyman, with a talent for refinishing furniture. He will truly be missed.
He is survived by two sons: William E. Weaver Jr. and his wife Ann-Marie of Franklin, and Christopher Weaver and his partner Richard Bettencourt of Salem; one daughter: Lisa Amedeo and her husband David of Haverhill; one step-daughter: Meredith McDermott and her husband James of Nashua; three sisters: Joan Coddens and her husband Arthur of Danvers, Greta Tibbetts of Lake Helen, FL, and Priscilla Dwyer and her husband Douglas of Middleboro; six grandchildren: Gillian, Kyle and Aidan Weaver of Franklin, Lauren and Matthew Amedeo of Haverhill and Dylan McDermott of Nashua; his former wife Jean Cirinna of Danvers; along with many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother: Perry Weaver.
ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Friday at 9:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell-Lee, Moody Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly Location) on Thursday from 4 to 7P.M. Burial will be at Wenham Cemetery.
