PEABODY — Jeanne D. "Jane" (Levesque) Tassinari, 85, of Peabody, a long-time resident of Salem, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, in the Spaulding Hospital North Shore, Salem. She was the wife of Enrico J. "Rico" Tassinari.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie Rose (Paridis) Levesque.
Jane was very involved in entertaining, music and dancing for most of her life. She was a member of the Ste. Anne's Church choir for over 25 years where she sang at many funerals and weddings. She also was a member of the Paul Madore Chorale for over 25 years and made numerous tours to France as part of their concert team. Jane was also the organist for Still Waters for four years.
She was active in scouting, and formerly involved with the Big Sister Program, Salem.
At one time, Jane had been employed by the former GTE Sylvania Corp., Loring Ave. facility for many years. Most recently, she had been the bookkeeper for the former Tassinari Auto Body, Salem for many years.
Surviving her in addition to her husband Enrico are sons and spouses, Michael and Catherine Tassinari of Peabody, Stephen and Paula Tassinari and their children, Suzanne, Rebecca and Jessica, all of Salem; a sister, Theresa Ogasian of Salem and several nieces and nephews. She also was the mother of the late Dennis J. Tassinari who died in 1969 and wife of the late Gerard Tassinari, who died in 1956.
ARRANGMENTS: Her funeral will be held from the David H. Gonet Funeral Home, 22 Hawthorne Blvd., Salem, on Saturday at 8 a.m. to be followed by a funeral Mass in Ste. Anne's Church, Salem, at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends invited.
