John R. Cameron


Raymond, NH — John R. Cameron, 67 of Raymond died suddenly on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at Exeter Hospital. He was born on October 31, 1945, in Philadelphia, Pa., and was the son of the late Ian and Sarah (Buehler) Cameron.

John was raised in Lynn, Mass., and was a graduate of Lynn English High School, and attended Northshore Community College in Lynn.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Era.

He worked for Symmetricom of Beverly, Mass., as an electronics technician, and prior to this, worked for the Ametek, Inc. for 23 years.

He was a devoted husband and father, and will be remembered for his quick wit and humor. He enjoyed computers, building models, Ham Radio, woodworking and family gatherings.

Family members include his wife of 45 years, Linda A. Cameron, of Raymond; his sons, Russell J. Cameron and his wife, Denise, of Haverhill, Mass., and Keith S. Cameron of Raymond; his daughter, Penny M. Briggs of Beverly, Mass.; his brother, Robert B. Cameron of Rhode Island; his sisters, Jean Cobb of Rhode Island, Carol Muise and Wendy Lampkin, both of Salem, Mass.

He was predeceased by a son-in-law, James Briggs in 2005.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Celebration of His Life will be held on Thursday, August 22, at 11 a.m., at the Stockbridge Funeral Home, 141 Epping Road, Exeter, N.H. You may visit with the family on Wednesday, from 4 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in the New Pine Grove Cemetery, Raymond.
