Elaine (Scott) Bray


Swampscott — Elaine (Scott) Bray, 77, of Swampscott, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, in her home, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late David W. Bray Jr., and the daughter of the late Edward and Eleanor (Metzger) Scott. Elaine was a graduate of Lynn English High School, Class of 1953, and attended Fairfield State College in Connecticut. She worked for Marblehead Bank from 1981, until she retired in 2004,as executive vice president of lending. She was apPast president of Marblehead Rotary, and enjoyed crafting, knitting, crocheting, and sewing, as well as spending time with her family at her summer home in Wakefield, N.H.

Elaine is survived by her two daughters, Roberta Bray Moore and her husband, David, of Newmarket, N.H., and Linda Bray Donahue and her husband, John, of Swampscott; her four sons, David W. Bray III and his wife, Anne, of Oconomowoc, Wis., Donald L. Bray and his wife, Lynne, of Swampscott, Steven L. Bray and his wife, Lisa, of Winthrop, and John M. Bray and his wife, Maria, of Lynn; 10 grandchildren, Jennifer, Melanie and David Moore Jr., David Bray IV, Amanda, Jake and Trevor Donahue, Donald Bray Jr., and Emily and Sydney Bray; her sister Eileen Wescott and her husband, Donald, of Salem; and four great-grandchildren.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held in the Solimine, Landergan & Richardson Funeral Home, 67 Ocean St., Route 1A, Lynn, on Wednesday, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Swampscott Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
