She was the wife of LTC Michael S. Langone (Retired), and the daughter of the late William and Leona (Myers) Demitropoulos. Born in Lynn, Mass. on Nov. 19, 1939, Paulette was raised in the Brickyard section of Lynn and graduated in 1957 from Lynn Classical High School, and from UMASS- Amherst in 1961. She moved to Salem in 1965, where she made a home for her family. She was a gifted portrait artist working in several mediums including, pastels, oils, charcoal and watercolors. In 1985, she and a colleague were applicants for the Teacher in Space program. Christa’s Alma Mater. Paulette also attended Space Camp in Huntsville, Ala. for a program especially for teachers.
