Peabody, MA — Annette R. (Charbonneau) Beauregard, 93, of Peabody and formerly of Salem, died on Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Continuing Care at Brooksby, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Frank Beauregard, with whom she had shared 61 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Marie Anne (Beaupre) Charbonneau. Annette first worked for Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the employment office before joining the U.S. Navy at the beginning of World War II, where she did clerical work in classified records. Following her tour of duty with the WAVES, she returned to Salem and continued working in the employment office. From 1966 through 1984, Annette was secretary for the City of Salem School Department in the special education sector.
An active woman, devoted to her family, she had many interests. She was a member of the Richelieu Club North of Boston, the AARP and was a longtime member of Ste. Anne’s League of Catholic Women.
She is survived by four sons, Raymond Beauregard and his wife, Mary Lou, of Des Moines, IA, Norman Beauregard of Houston, Texas, Roland Beauregard and his wife, Melody, of Weare, N.H., Philip Beauregard of Charlestown, S.C.; two daughters, Pauline Needham of Lynn, and Claire Maniero and her husband, Manuel, of Amesbury; 16 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Lucille Gaudreault; and granddaughter, Anne Marie Beauregard.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette Street, Route114/ 1A, Salem, on Thursday, November 7, at 9:45 a.m., to be followed by her funeral Mass in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Avenue, Salem, at 11 a.m. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be on Wednesday, from 3 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
