Amesbury — Ralph P. Mulcahy of Amesbury, MA, died peacefully in the comfort of loved ones on October 26, 2012, at the Kaplan Hospice House in Danvers. He was born April 18, 1928, in Boston to the late Francis D. Mulcahy Sr. and Grace (Pratt) Mulcahy. Ralph was educated at Phillips Exeter Academy and Yale University with an MBA from Babson College. He owned and operated several businesses at Salisbury Beach with his brother including the Midway Arcade and the Frolics Arcade. In his spare time he enjoyed skiing with friends and family at his beloved Mt. Cranmore in North Conway, NH. He also enjoyed golf, travel, and spending time with his family.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Kathryn (Walton) Mulcahy. As well as his brother, Frank D. Mulcahy, Jr. He is also survived by his daughter Terry Avallon and her husband, John, of Beverly, MA, and North Conway, NH, and son Brian and his wife Rebecca of Amesbury, MA, as well as his adoring grandchildren Jeffrey, Gregory, and Jennifer Avallon, and Tucker and Carter Mulcahy. Ralph is predeceased by his son, Jeffrey Francis.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Wednesday, October 31st, at 10AM in the Star of the Sea Church, Salisbury. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Newburyport. Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 8 in the Twomey-LeBlanc and Conte Funeral Home, 193 High Street, Newburyport.
