Englewood, FL, formerly of Ipswich and Middleton — Leona J. (Goody) Hopkins Miller, a resident of Englewood, Fla., formerly of Ipswich and Middleton, died accidentally on Friday afternoon, July 12, 2013. She was 72 years old.
Born in Ipswich, Mass., on December 6, 1940, she was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Alma (Kneeland) Goody. Leona was an active woman and lived as a free spirit. She was soft-hearted and always was willing to help her family and friends in need. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her loving children, Eric P. Hopkins of Rochester, N.H., Glen A. Hopkins of Danvers, and Lisa A. Exum of Groveland; sister, Cecille Mazzella of Wenham; grandchildren, Jon, A.J., Jake and Kyle; and great-grandson, Aiden. She was the companion of the late John Brown.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be celebrated in the F.S. Roberts & Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley, Friday, July 19, 2013, at 6 p.m. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held on Friday, prior to the service, from 4 to 6 p.m. Interment will be private. Donations in Leona's memory may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
