Jacinta (Trinidad) Dominguez, 87


Leeds, ME — Jacinta Dominguez, 87, of Leeds, Maine, and a former resident of Salem, Mass., died Thursday, April 25, 2013, at the home of her daughter and son-in law in Leeds, Maine, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Antonio Dominguez.

Born in Caguas, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Eladio and Monseratte (Torres) Trinidad. Mrs. Dominguez and her family moved to Salem in 1969, one of the first Puerto Rican families to settle in Salem. She was a wonderful homemaker who was devoted to her husband and family. Jacinta was a member of the former St. Joseph Parish of Salem.

She is survived by four sons, Jose Dominguez of Puerto Rico, Angel Dominguez of Ormond Beach, Fla., Geraldo and Raynaldo Dominguez both of Salem; four daughters, Maria A. Saravia of Leeds, Maine, Anna Negron of Salem, Miriam Dominguez of Lynn, and Maria S. Dominguez of Miami, Fla., two brothers, William and Otileo Trinidad both of Puerto Rico; two sisters, Esperanza Trinidad of Puerto Rico, and Teresa Trinidad of Lynn. She also leaves 30 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Juan Dominguez and daughter, Carmen Dominguez.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. (Rt. 114 / 1-A), Salem on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 9 a.m., to be followed by her funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd., Salem, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
