Salem, MA — Theresa M. (Banville) Luca, 85, of Salem, died Saturday, May 4, 2013, in The Lafayette Nursing Facility, Marblehead following a lengthy illness.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Philomene (Joubert) Banville, and was a life-long resident of Salem. Prior to her retirement, Theresa had been employed as an assembler by Parker Brothers for more than 18 years.
Theresa was a communicant of the former St. Mary’s Church, Salem for many years until their closing. Theresa and her husband enjoyed the weekly dances at the Moose which they attended with many of their friends and traveling together throughout the United States. Theresa was also a passionate Bingo player and looked forward to playing as often as possible.
Surviving her is her loving son, Stephen Luca; and niece Michelle (Banville) Regan and her husband, John M. Regan, all of Salem; and several other nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Mary Luca and sister of her twin, the late Joseph Banville and Archibald Banville.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in the David H. Gonet Funeral Home, 22 Hawthorne Blvd., Salem, on Thursday at 11 a.m. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 9 to 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
