Salem, MA — Catherine Margaret (Royack) Bouchard, 82, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was the wife of the late Rene J. Bouchard.
Born in Pennsylvania, Catherine was the daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Miller) Royack. She moved to Salem in 1951 and spent many summers in Florida where she worked as a waitress and met, Rene. Catherine also worked at Thermal Circuits in Salem for more than 30 years.
Catherine is survived by a son, Raymond Bouchard, a retired federal employee and his wife Irene of Fort Fairfield, Main; a daughter, Ann Bouchard of Salem, president and founder of the International Monument to Honor Abused Women which is a non-profit designed to transform the lives of abused women; a grandson, Shelby Bouchard of Texas; sisters, Dorothy Purcell and Bernadine Zack, along with many nieces and nephews. As with her husband Rene, Catherine was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Bouchard.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service Friday, May 10, 2013, at the St. Mary’s Cemetery of Salem, gathering at the front entrance of the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. and proceeding to graveside for 11 a.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Berube & Sons Funeral Home, 191 Lafayette St., Salem.
