Joan M. (Keefe) Levesque, 81


Beverly — Mrs. Joan M. (Keefe) Levesque 81, of Beverly, beloved wife of the late Richard C. Levesque, died Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Twin Oaks Nursing Home in Danvers.

Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Arthur J. Sr. and Margaret (Ring) Keefe. She was raised and educated in Peabody. She attended St. John's School, St. Mary's High School in Lynn, and was a graduate of Salem High School.

Mrs. Levesque began her professional career at Sylvania and matriculated to CBS Hytron, where she held the position of government inspector. For many years, she was also a waitress at her family's restaurant, the former Keefe's of Salem.

Joan was a longtime resident of Beverly and had a deep love of her family, including her beloved Shitzu "Jasmine" She will be deeply missed.

Joan is survived by her daughter, Janet Levesque of Beverly; her grandchildren, Taylor St. Arneault of Nashua, N.H., and Kristopher Castellucci of Seabrook, N.H.; her great-grandchildren, Anthony Kristopher Castellucci; and was to be a great-grandmother again of soon-to-be Joseph Thomas Castellucci; her sisters, Sheila Keefe of Salem and Margaret "Peggy" Gauthier of Ft. Meyers, Fla.; her brothers, John Keefe and his wife, Peggy of Stratford, N.H., and Frank Keefe and his wife, Joanne of Dracut; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Arthur J. "Buddy" Keefe Jr.

ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held in The O'Donnell Funeral Home, 46 Washington Sq., at Salem Common, Salem, on Wednesday, June 26, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 25, from 2 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Joan's memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701, or to the charity of one's choice.
