Marjorie R. (Sturtevant) Sidmore, 90


Danvers — Mrs. Marjorie R. Sidmore, 90, of Danvers, beloved wife of the late Robert Bradley Sidmore, died Monday, March 3, 2014, at the Peabody Glen Nursing Home in Peabody.

Born in Swampscott, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Susie W. (Foster) Sturtevant. She was raised and educated in Orleans and was a graduate of Orleans High School. She continued her education at Bristol County Business School.

Mrs. Sidmore had been employed with the former United Shoe Machine Corporation of Beverly until the time of her retirement.

Marjore was a dedicated wife, sister and aunt who will be deeply missed. She was a member of the Locust Lawn Ski Club and a member of the Quarter Century Club at the United Shoe. She was a longtime member of the South Congregational Church of Peabody. She will be deeply missed.

Marjorie is survived by her nieces, Paula Lachance of Danvers and Pamela Kirby of Florida, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and many extended family. She was the sister of the late Ruth M. Ferguson, Barbara W. Corthell and Ronald, Jack, Richard and William Sturtevant.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral service which will be held in the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Route 62), Danvers, Saturday, March 8, at 11 a.m. Burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Marjorie’s memory to the South Congregational Church, 60 Prospect St., Peabody, MA 01960.
