BEVERLY — Roslyn (Fliegel) Tanzer, 85, of Beverly, entered into rest Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at the Shaughnessy-Kaplan Hospital in Salem. She was the beloved wife of Louis Tanzer.
Born and raised in Beverly, she was the daughter of the late William and Marion Fliegel. She was a graduate of Beverly High School. She had been employed in the accounting services industry for the United State Army in Boston during World War II.
Roslyn enjoyed traveling and was one of the first people to travel to China during the Nixon administration. Mrs. Tanzer was also a member of Temple B'Nai Abraham in Beverly.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Gail Torres and her husband Wilbert; one son, Jeff Tanzer and his wife Tunde; three grandchildren, Marielle, Mark and Hannah; and one brother, Berton Fliegel.
ARRANGEMENTS: Services at Temple B'Nai Abraham, 200 East Lothrop St., Beverly on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at 10 a.m. Interment in Sons of Abraham Cemetery, Cole Street, Beverly.
