Salem, MA — Theresa “Terry” (LeBlanc) Morin, 86, of Salem, died on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Salem Hospital, following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Raoul “Ralph” Morin, and the daughter of the late John and Beatrice (Melanson) LeBlanc. Born and raised in Salem, Terry was educated at St. Joseph’s School. She worked as an assembler for many years at Solid State in Salem and Hytron Co. In later years, she worked as a quality control inspector for Unitrode Corporation in Watertown. She enjoyed playing bingo and working at the bingo at both St. Joseph’s Church and St. James Church in Salem. She liked to take trips to Foxwood, and truly enjoyed knitting. Terry loved dogs, with a fondness for her beloved grand-dogs. She is remembered for making the “the best caramels, ever” by anyone fortunate enough to have tasted them. She was a communicant of St. James Church and the former St. Joseph’s Church in Salem.
Terry is survived by her two sons, Richard R. Morin and his wife, Donna, of Salem, and David J. Morin and his wife, Cathy, of California; grandchildren, Shavon Abfalter and her husband, Jason, of California, Lisa Francis and her husband, Ross, of Salem, Tracy Morin and her wife, Tina, of Salem, and Rachel Morin of California. She also leaves her four great-grandchildren, Carson and Landon Abfalter, and Paige and Piper Francis. She was the sister of the late Albert, Thaddeus, Victor, Emile, Oliver, and Desire “Diz” LeBlanc, Doris Dionne, and Hermeline Arsenault.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral will be held from the Solimine Funeral Home , 67 Ocean Street, Route 1, Lynn, on Wednesday, at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass in St. James Church, Salem, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
