Nancy Lynn (Raschella) Borders, 56


Beverly — Nancy Borders, 56, of Beverly, died February 28th at Massachusetts General Hospital surrounded by family and friends, following a courageous battle with acute myeloid leukemia.

She is the daughter of Eleanor (Hazard) Raschella and the late Nick A. Raschella of Camillus, NY. Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Robert Allen Borders, a son Robert Nicholas and a daughter, Sara Elizabeth, all of Beverly, MA. One sister, Julie M. Raschella of Webster, NY. She is also survived by her mother-in-law Nancy and her husband Edward Dembro of Revere, MA, and her father-in-law, Robert Borders and his wife Sharon of Peabody, MA; 3 sisters-in-law, Robin Bourgeois, Barbara Sereda and Beth Rigol and their spouses; 2 brothers-in-law, William and Brian Borders and their spouses, and many nieces and nephews. Also a loving part of Nancy’s life were many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Nancy was a graduate of West Genesee High School in Camillus, NY, and Endicott College in Beverly, MA. An avid photographer, Nancy loved traveling with her family and friends for which we have a lifetime of photos. She was an avid sports fan (Red Sox & Patriots) and she adored her pets, Maggie, Brady & Ziggy. Nancy will be remembered for her positive and optimistic attitude, strength, kindness, generosity, infectious laughter, true love of living and her unparalleled devotion to family and friends. She will be sorely missed.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 253 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Wednesday, March 6th, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the Campbell-Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, North Beverly, on Tuesday from 4pm to 7pm. Services will conclude with burial at North Beverly Cemetery.
