BEVERLY — Mrs. Claire Theresa (Walsh) O'Keefe, 84, beloved wife of William F. O'Keefe, died Saturday morning, May 7, 2011 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers surrounded by her family.
Born, raised and educated in Boston, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Anna F. Walsh.
A resident of the City of Beverly for the past 55 years, Claire was an avid reader, an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed music, especially singing her favorite songs.
In addition to her husband, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage, she is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Brown and her husband John of Rowley; three sons, William O'Keefe and his wife Tina of Lynn, Michael O'Keefe and his wife Kathy of Danvers, and Daniel O'Keefe and his wife Angela of Ipswich; nine grandchildren, Christina, Paul, Timothy, William, Brian, Jason, Kevin, Allison and Aidan; one great-grandchild, Isabella; a sister, Barbara Cryan of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Frances Wilman and her twin brother, William Walsh.
ARRANGEMENTS: Her funeral service will be held at the Calvary Christian Church, 47 Grove St., Lynnfield, Thursday, May 12, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell-Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot St., Beverly (North Beverly location) Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial in the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
