Roger Messer, 66


Dunedin, FL — Roger Messer, 66, formerly of Salem, died on Sunday, December 8, 2013. Born in Canton, Mass., he moved to Florida from New Garden in 1983. He retired as a carpenter after 45 years. He was owner R&G Handyman Services, and worked for the Pasco County School Board. He also worked as a truck driver and at Chi Chi Rodriguez Golf Course in Clearwater, Fla. He was an Army veteran of Vietnam. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Dunedin. Roger was an avid golfer and Ohio State Buckeye football fan. He enjoyed driving his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and camper. Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Ginger; son, Keith “KC” Charles Messer; three stepdaughters, Jennifer Goldsmith, Joanna Pike and Carey Menough; a brother, Larry; eight grandchildren; a niece; two nephews; and many aunts, uncles and friends.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, December 14, at First UMC of Dunedin, 421 Main Street, 34698. Services in Ohio will be at a later date.
