James A. Baldassarre, 45


HAVERHILL — James A. Baldassarre, 45, of Haverhill and formerly of Beverly, died suddenly on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

Born in Beverly, he is the son of Betty Lee Tuneburg of Haverhill, and Luigi Baldassarre and his wife, Carolyn, of Danvers. Jim was raised and educated in Beverly and was a graduate of Beverly High School, Class of 1986.

James worked for 24 years as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Medford, and also as a bartender for the (ICC) Italian Community Center in Beverly for many years. Jim was an avid Bruins and Patriot fan, who also loved to play hockey. Jim also loved Mustangs, Harely Davidson motorcycles, and spending time tending to his garden.

Jim was a loving husband, son, stepdad, brother, uncle, and friend, who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Catherine M. (Beaulieu) Baldassarre of Haverhill; four stepdaughters, Jessica, Lacey, Meray and Samantha; one brother, Umberto Baldassarre and his companion, Rachel Fennell of Hollis, N.H.; one sister, Lisa Johnson and her husband, Matthew, of Bradford; his grandmother, Mary Tuneburg of Beverly; seven step-grandchildren; three nephews; one greatniece; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Celebration of Life will be held at the Italian Community Center, 302 Rantoul St., Beverly, Mass., on Friday, July 12, at 6 to 11 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
