Paul S. Mallard, 67

Peabody — Paul S. Mallard, 67, of Peabody, husband of Mary A. (Bulger) Mallard, died with his family by his side at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, on Sunday, February 16, 2014.

Paul was born in Peabody on June 21, 1946, and was the son of the late John A. and Dorothy (Prouxl) Mallard. He was raised and educated in Peabody, and was a lifelong resident of the city.

Paul began his working career as a glazier with Union Local 1044 in Boston. He later owned and operated M&M Glass & Aluminum on Lynn St., Peabody, for eight years. Prior to his recent retirement, he was employed in the same capacity at Salem Glass. Paul will be well remembered as a loving father who devoted his life creating a home for his family. Paul enjoyed entertaining friends at the family pool, gardening, and attending functions at the Italian American Citizens Club in Peabody.

In addition to his wife, Mary, with whom he shared 51 years of marriage, Paul is survived by his children and their spouses, John A. and Martha Mallard, Lisa M. Mallard and Bob Flynn, all of Danvers, and Michelle L. and Steven Leblanc of Bradford; two brothers and their wives, John A. and Linda Mallard of Peabody, and Robert and Jacqueline Mallard of Lynn; a sister and her husband, Janice and Christopher “Chris” Cornet of Peabody; two sisters-in-law, Janice Sahovey of Georgetown and Patricia Bulger of Peabody; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Paul was predeceased by his siblings, Frank Mallard and Barbara Mallard.

ARRANGEMENTS: His family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, February 19, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Paul’s Celebration of Life service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, February 20, at 11 a.m. The family requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Paul’s name to the MGH/North Shore Cancer Center, c/o Oncology Department, 102 Endicott St., Danvers, MA 01923.
