Topsfield — James J. Sharry, Jr., 65, peacefully passed away in his home surrounded by his family on June 13, 2013. He was the loving husband of Kathleen (Wilson) Sharry, with whom he shared nearly 38 years of marriage.
Born on July 19, 1947, in Somerville, he was the son of Dorothy (McDonald) Sharry of Andover and the late James J. Sharry. Jim was raised and educated in Stoneham and graduated from Stoneham High School in 1964. He went on to St. Anselm College and received his bachelor’s degree in 1969. Jim had been employed as a regional sales representative for C.R. Gibson for over thirty years. Jim was very active within his community. He was past president and member of the Topsfield Athletic Association for many years. Jim coached Little League baseball, flag football and basketball.
Jim’s family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Dana Farber Institute and many others for the genuine and compassionate care that was given to him during his illness.
Besides his wife, Kathleen, he is survived by his three children, Meghan D’Ambrosio and her husband, Adam, of Woburn, Michael Sharry and his wife, Desiree, of Washington, and Kevin Sharry and his girlfriend, Marisa Moreschi, of Malden; his sister, Gayle Beauchesne and her husband, Steven, of N. Andover; two nephews and his niece, Justin Beauchesne and his wife, Krystin, Allison Beauchesne and Jamie Ligon. He was predeceased by his sister, Kathleen Ligon.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2013, in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Topsfield. Visiting hours are Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.
