Salem — James A. “Jim” LeBlanc, 68, died Saturday evening in Salem Hospital following a brief illness.
Born in Salem, the son of the late Alfred J. and Rita (Blanchard) LeBlanc, Jim was educated in Salem Schools before serving his country in the Army. Returning from service, Jim worked for many years driving for various companies. He was a lifelong resident of Salem and he enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Dunkin Donuts on Washington Street.
He is survived by his wife, Rose (Long) LeBlanc of Salem; two sons, James LeBlanc of Swampscott and Richard LeBlanc of Salem; a daughter, Andrea LeBlanc of Lynn; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by his sister, Roseann Carpenter.
