Salem — Mr. Francis T. Dupuis, 87, of Salem, died suddenly on Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Union Hospital in Lynn. He was the beloved husband of Olive (Townsend) Dupuis, with whom he had shared 64 years of marriage.
Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Lowell) Dupuis. He attended St. Mary’s Boys High School in Lynn.
An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country as a member of the United States Navy. Upon his return from serving his country, he furthered his education by attending Wentworth Technical School.
Mr. Dupuis had been employed for many years with the General Electric Co. in Lynn.
Frank loved motorcycles, especially riding in the country during the spring and fall seasons. He was a longtime member of the Lynn and Reading Gun Clubs.
In addition to his loving wife, Olive, Frank is survived by his sister, Carol Dupuis Clark of Needham; several nieces and nephews; and extended family. He was also the brother of the late Shirley Ryan and Ronald Dupuis.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral will be held from The O’Donnell Funeral Home, 46 Washington Sq., at Salem Common, Salem, on Wednesday, April 23, at 10:30 a.m., followed by his funeral Mass in St. James Church, Federal St., Salem, at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited.
