Beverly, MA — Donald J. Richard, 64, of Beverly, formerly of Salem, Danvers, and Peabody, died Saturday, April 26, at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.
Born in Salem, Nov. 29, 1949, he was the son of the late Gliford J. and Irene (Gagne) Richard.
Donald was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Lynn. He was a vice president with Primerica Financial Services in Peabody, where he worked for 31 years. Donald was an active member of St. Joseph Parish in Wakefield. He worked as a Crossing Guard for the town of Danvers. Donald was an avid walker and loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Donald was the beloved husband of Ann Margaret (Davis) Richard. He was the loving father of Donald J. Richard, Jr., and wife Amy of Manchester, N.H., Timothy Fitzpatrick of Santa Rosa, Calif., Terry Callahan of Westford, Steven Fitzpatrick of Woburn and Debra Bailey of Acton, and the brother of Paul Richard of Randolph, Stephen Richard of Newburyport, Michael Richard of New Hampshire, Jeanne Ventura of North Carolina. He was also the loving grandfather of Benjamin, Steven, Catherine, and Taylor.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral will be held from the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, on Tuesday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield at 10 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. For obit, directions, guest book, please visit www.mcdonaldfs.com.
