Sophia M. Lapsley, 50


MIDDLETON — Sophia M. Lapsley, 50, passed away Saturday, December 29, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House after a 2 year courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family. Born in Boston, she is the beloved daughter of John and Dorothy (Sarados) Lapsley of Danvers.

Sophia grew up in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School. She also attended and graduated from Marian Court College. For over 20 years, Sophia worked as an Executive Administrator for Sprint. She loved to cook, bowl, travel and go to the casinos. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sisters: Dorothy Hersey of Middleton and Christine Fitzgerald and her husband Robert of Danvers; three nieces: Elizabeth Swensen and her husband Brian, Laura Fitzgerald and Samantha Hersey; along with many close and dear friends.

ARRANGEMENTS: A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Mary of the Annunciation Parish, 24 Conant Street, Danvers, on Thursday at 9:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell-Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly Location), on Wednesday from 4 to 8 P.M.
