Catherine "Kay" Clark, 85


Beverly — Catherine "Kay" Clark passed away peacefully on January 3, 2013, in Beverly, Massachusetts, after a brief illness, while surrounded by her loving family.

Kay was born in Salem, MA, on June 25, 1927, daughter of James Carr and Myrtle Peach Millett Carr. She lived most of her life in Salem and Beverly but most recently resided in Danvers, MA.

Kay is most remembered as sister, mother and grandmother. She lived her life for her family, enjoying football games, school plays, vacations at camp and family gatherings. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. She could be found sitting happily with a cup of tea and a good book watching the hummingbirds at the camp her husband Frank and she built. She loved to read and enjoyed watching the wild birds and critters in the beautiful garden she shared with her daughter. And oh, how she loved her sweets! When she was younger, she loved taking cruises and going dancing with her husband Frank Clark.

Kay was preceded in death by her several siblings Jimmy, Bobby, Anne, Tommy and Charlie, her husband Frank Clark and sons James and Michael Campbell. Her beloved sister Lucy Silva and her husband Tony and her brother Dick Carr and his wife Margie survive her. She is also survived by her daughters, Susan Campbell Langmaid, Ginger Campbell Waksmonski, and Nancy Clark Jewell and her husband, Don; sons, Bob Campbell, his wife Marianne, David Clark and his wife, Cheryl, Wayne Clark and his wife, Jocelyn and Frank W. Clark. Her grandchildren, Lisa, Karen, Ryan and Meaghan, Jared and Carly, Alex, Mallory and David, Catlyn, Lily and Emma also survive her. She will be greatly missed by her great-grandchildren Dylan, Mya, and Hanna and many nephews and nieces.

ARRANGEMENTS: A funeral service will be held at the Campbell – Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly location), Sunday, January 6, 2013, at 2 p.m. A visiting hour will be held prior to the service on Sunday from 1 to 2 p.m. A private burial will be held on Monday. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in Kay’s memory to the Shamrock Elementary School Library, 60 Green St., Woburn, MA 01801.
